Don’t Skip Leg Day!




My co-workers always see me climbing the stairs in my building, and one of them asked why I like to exercise. She said, ‘It’s not like you’re obese, and you don’t look like you have any health issues…’. My answer was simple, ‘because I love my body and I do what I can to care for it. I am not overweight or underweight because I show my body this love every day’.

I’m no fitness model or body builder and I definitely don’t look like one, but one thing I do enjoy is loving my body. I believe the best way to love your body is to take care of it. You don’t have to have bulging muscles or be super lean to embrace your inner-self, but making your body stronger is one thing that really means a lot because that’s YOU going out of your way for yourself -and that’s never an easy thing to do. But the hard work always shows and you can embrace yourself knowing that YOU did it. No one else but you. People may tell you that you do it to get looks, or just so that you could eat that extra dessert, but you need to remember that this isn’t going to better THEIR health, it’s going to better YOURS.
